Providing parents and children dealing with abuse and/or neglect the opportunity to visit one another in a safe and supervised environment. We are dedicated to maintaining relationships between parents and children.
Ambrose Place MKE Supervised Visitation Services are located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
With the goal of maintaining relationships between parents and children or sibling groups, Ambrose Place MKE arranges and provides transportation and supervision of children in an environment determined safe by Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Community Services.
This service provides parents and children the opportunity to visit one another in a safe and supervised environment when children have been placed in out of home care due to abuse and/or neglect concerns. The family visit is constantly monitored by a neutral third-party provider assigned by Ambrose Place MKE to observe, supervise and document the visit of one referred family at a time.
Visits occur in the provider agency’s office, the family’s home or a community location as approved by the CSSW Case Manager.

Family Support Service Facts
The family court strongly emphasizes that visitation with a non-custodial parent is critical to a child’s sense of well-being, happiness and stability.
Issues such as domestic violence, alcohol abuse or drug addiction, however, can compel the court to order the non-custodial parent to only have supervised visitation with the child.
During supervised visitation, the non-custodial parent may only visit with the child when another adult is present.
The court’s focus is on the well-being, safety and welfare of the child.
If the judge orders supervised visitation as a result of any of the above risks, he or she will set the terms as part of an overall parenting plan.
The judge could make the supervised visitation order temporary based upon the non-custodial parent meeting certain conditions, such as drug treatment or counseling.
